This cave was created using Unreal 2004 technology, and served the setting for the opening and ending cinematics in "Foreign Soil".
The scene is fully animated, such as a glow effect emitting off the group of mushrooms which then projects off the slimy floor. For areas where sunlight breaks through the rock, the dust particles caught inside the moving sun's rays move when passed through.



Here's a video clip from the opening cinematics. The level design and 2D picture panels scattered throughout were entirely created by myself.
